Dear presidents, conductors of
youth music formations

The first four World Youth Music Festivals Zurich took part in 1985, 1992, 1999 and 2005. The 5th festivals for wind orchestras, brass bands, music show groups as well as for drum and percussion groups will be held in Zurich from 6 to 10 July 2012.

Seven years ago 4 orchestras from all over the world and 36 orchestras from Switzerland met for the competition in Zurich. The 4,500 musicians rated the festival as very good at all.

The important information concerning the concert competitions, the supporting programme, the competition rules and the festival are sent.

If your orchestra or group will not be able to participate in the competition, we would be grateful if you could forward the documents to another youth wind orchestra or another group that you know. Please inform the office as soon as possible: info@wjmf.ch
