Choreography of Opening Ceremony “Music“
Friday night, July 6, 2012, Hallenstadion Zurich

At the opening ceremony, all attending sections, namely approximately 3000 teenagers from all over the world, will gather and stage a choreography to this simple beat. This movie is self-explanatory – let’s move!

Here are the choreography instructions additional to the movie:

Intro – after 4 chimes:
4x8      Starting position: Squat àSlow motion movement (goal: everyone standing upright)
1st 8: soloist / 2nd. 8: 1 person per band / 3rd. 8: 5 other persons per band / 4th 8: rest of all bands
Clock:
1x8      Both arms from the side upwards at a tick tack rhythm
1x8      Right arm down to the side
1x8      Left arm down to the side
1x8      Jump with ¼ turn to the right – put both arms up on 4 and down on 4
1x8      Jump with ¼ turn to the right – put both arms up on 4 and down on 4
1x8      Jump with ¼ turn to the right – put both arms up on 4 and down on 4
1x8      Jump with ¼ turn to the right – put both arms up on 4 and down on 4
Freestyle
1x8      6 Freeze Posing positions – hold last position
Hip Part (in a square)

Sun

Hop Part
2x8      clapping (incite the audience to clap along)

At the WJMF 2012 3148 musicians will take part.

The participants come from all over Europe from North to South and East to West:

From Estonia to Belgium and Sweden to Croatia

58 music corps will compete with eachother, therefrom 37 come from Switzerland.

The female-male ratio is about 50:50.

The organisation comitee will be confronted with a interesting and a challenging task in regarding to the accomodation, because it is very important that everybody feels good during those exciting days.

The deadline of registration fort the World Youthmusic Festival Zurich 2012 has expired at the end of October. Would you still bear the challenge?

Actually there have registered 47 music corps from all over the world.

The attractive music venues will all be around the center of Zurich City.

You can look forward to the opening ceremony in the Hallenstadion, Zurich, on 6th July – The first big highlight for all participants.
